Conserver Forever Some of the measures I've taken to save money, improve my health or saving/making use of what I have, have all been effective, they've all have had the desired results, yet, I still get those incredulous looks - even from the people that know me best. Homeschooling I'm homeschooling and that's final. My whole family is against it, my wifes family is against it; except her aunt, she homeschooled all of her kids and told us to get ready for a battle of attrition, you'll either wear them down or they'll wear you down (everyone else not the kids). Homesteading - Live the Life or Pay the Price I've been told that you can get out of the rat race (become a homesteader) or be a city dweller; the only difference is you'll either be trading your time working to be more self sufficient (self employed, gardening, getting wood in for the winter, etc.) or trade time away from home, at work, to pay for the conveniences and bills (Overtime). The person who told me this didn't see the difference in the quality of life; to this person, you exist here or you exist there, the price you pay is the same, it was all a wash in the end - and they call me the boring one. Keeping the Naysayers at Bay Who would have thought that there would be so much opposition to living a simpler more self sufficient lifestyle. Do you ever get the feeling that the people that tell you what you're all about, actually do believe what they're saying?
